COP29 & COP30
Presented at the United Nations Climate Change Conference
The Edges of Earth team presented a short reel at COP29 and COP30, bringing frontline community voices to one of the world's most important climate policy stages. The work demonstrated how narrative strategy and grassroots partnerships translate into measurable conservation outcomes.
Short-Film on the 2026 Festival Circuit
The Edges of Earth short has been selected as an official film at the International Ocean Film Festival, the Korea International Ocean Film Festival, and named a finalist at the Arctic Film Festival. We'll release it publicly once it completes the festival circuit.
The film offers a glimpse into where the Edges of Earth team has been and where they are going. It discusses the power of exploring the world, but also never forgetting to explore in your own backyard. The team has been on a quest for the last three years to find positive outliers, or those succeeding against the odds in the face of the climate crisis.
About
The Expedition
Edges of Earth is a global expedition and consulting team exploring how people are responding to a changing planet. Led by strategist and diver Andi Cross and photographer Adam Moore, the team travels to the literal and metaphorical edges of the world, embedding with communities already confronting climate challenges firsthand.
Across 50+ countries, the expedition has documented hundreds of stories from scientists, Indigenous leaders, conservationists, and local innovators who are building real solutions in the places most vulnerable to environmental change. These field insights are translated into media, strategy, and partnerships designed to amplify what's working.
Rather than focusing solely on what's broken, Edges of Earth seeks out what the team calls 'positive deviants' — the outliers proving that a more resilient future is possible.
